MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 243 Reference to volume and page of Case-book in which full record may be found Ditto of -book Remarks It shall be the duty of the Clerk or Dresser to keep full record of the cases assigned to him It shall be the duty of the Registrars to overlook correct and supplement such record so as to make it lull and trustworthy account of the case The Cases to be legibly recorded on one side of each page by the Clerks and Dressers under the guidance of the Registrars The opposite side to be left blank for additions &c to be made by the Registrars summary account of the examination in fatal cases shall be appended to the record in the Case-book by the Clerk or Dresser together with reference to the more complete entry in the Books of the Pathological Registrar The Reports of all Cases shall be at the disposal of the Physician or Surgeon under whose care they were admitted but they shall be the property of the Hospital and shall be kept in the Registrar's room for reference unless when required by the Physician or Surgeon It shall be the duty of the Registrar at the end of his term of Office or on his retirement to hand over personally to his successor all the Case-books Sec in such way as to prevent all risk of confusion or interruption in the fulfilment of the duties of the office No Registrar to leave his work for more than two days without providing substitute of whose competency the Physicians or Surgeons are satisfied The duty of Registrar for the cases under the care of the Obstetric Physician's Assistant to be performed in the manner already specified by the Obstetric Physician's Assistant 10 The Case-books together with the Registers of Admis- sion and Discharge to be submitted to the Medical Board just as the Registered Cases have hitherto been
