352 CIVIL SERVICE EVENING CLASSES GENERAL INFORMATION All Fees are payable in advance in the College Office They will be received any day between ten and four except on Saturday when the Office closes at two or the first two evenings of each period during the hour previous to the opening of the Class As the work is progressive in all the subjects from the be- ginning of the course to the end students are strongly advised to join these classes if possible at the commencement of the course Gentlemen joining these classes must produce letter of introduction from the clergyman of the district in which they live or from their employer or the head of their office or from some other known person Books -Students cannot join in the Class work without the Books required Tho Books recommended are considered the best for the purpose and students are strongly advised to obtain them but they are not indispensable tu the Class work The former are kept in stock and may be obtained from the Hall Porter of the College at any time when the College is open Tne latter if not in stock may be ordered The price and publisher of each book are given where the book is first mentioned in this prospectus
