33S EVENING CLASSES VIII There is also an examination in each subject at the close of every Summer Session and Certificates 01 Distinction and Merit are then given to all who obtain respectively three- fourths or three-fifths of the whole number of marks IX No Prize or Certificate can be awarded unless earned by- Regular and punctual attendance in the particulnr class for which the reward is given Good conduct Absolute merit in the examination The highest number of marks assigned to each sub ject is 100 The standard for "absolute merit which alone will carry Prize or Certificate of Distinction is 75 The standard for Certificates of Merit" is 60 XI The Prizes and Certificates are given at an Evening Meeting held during the Summer Session XII Certificates of having College prize made out under the signatures of the Principal and Secretary may be ob- tained by application at the College Office Fee 2s Gd for each Certificate XI Special Examination for Teachers Students qualifying for Teachers will have the option of attending an extra and Special Examination on day to be fixed at the end of the Winter Session for the purpose of testing their knowledge and power of teaching
