Jii MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Saturday Morning 10 to Botany The Examinations shall be divided into two portions the first shall take place at the end of the first Winter Session the second at the end of the first Summer Session the Scholarships shall be awarded to the three candidates who obtain the highest aggregate number of marks at the two examinations The Winter Examinations will begin on Monday March 18 1878 The names of Candidates must be sent in writing to the Dean of the Medical Department before one o'clock on Monday March 11 after which hour no names will be received The Summer Examination will begin on Monday July 15 1878 Names to be sent in by July XX lass $ri es GDI in teal rt es Tcrtiecates of onpur jltUrtt an& tttniiancc Prizes are awarded for proficiency in the several subjects of Anatomy Physiology Chemistry Materia Medica Surgery Medicine Midwifery Botany Forensic Medicine Pathological Anatomy Comparative Anatomy Practical Physiology and Practical Chemistry These consist of Books of the value of £3 and are given to the highest Student in the Examina- tion provided that such Student exhibits sufficient merit to entitle him to receive prize Two Medical Clinical Prizes one of for the Winter Ses- sion and the other of 21 for the Summer Session and two Surgical Clinical Prizes of the same value are also given Candidates for the Clinical Prizes will be required- To write from memory the particulars of four cases taken from the practice of the Physicians or Surgeons as the case may be which have been treated in the Hospital
