112 GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE This Course is given in order to instruct the Students in the principles of Geology In the Michaelmas Term the Lectures will have reference to Dynamical Geology in the Lent Term to Palaeontology and in the Easter Term to Stratigraphical Geology There will be Field Lecture in the Easter Term The Course will be illustrated by diagrams and specimens Drawing For the Modern Division only Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday from to Ornament and ornamental forms in outline also shaded in pencil crayon and sepia from copies Model Drawing from geometric forms without instruments also from casts of ornament in relief natural objects the human figure the antique in pencil crayon and mono- chrome Landscape Drawing -Sketching and painting from copies in pencil sepia water-colour and oil Drawing and Painting from Nature -Flowers and other natural objects still life &c as groups for composition in crayon monochrome water colour and oil colour and as studies of colour Logic and Mental Philosophy The Council have determined to found Professorship in these subjects The Lectures will begin in January 1878 The name of the Professor and the hours of Lecture will be announced during the Michaelmas Term
