×™8×™ THE SCHOOL 15 For every Lesson duly prepared boy receives cer- tain number of marks from the Master of his class which are duly recorded in Mark-book 16 boy whose work merits special approval is entitled to be sent up to the Head Master and receive from him printed card recording the fact and authorising him to receive certain number of extra marks These cards are expected to be taken home by the boy to his Parent or Guardian for their counter signature 17 Neglect of work infringement of School Rules or misconduct renders boy liable to be detained after School- hours to write an imposition 18 All such Impositions are as general rule written under the eye of the Head Master in the case of boys in the Upper School and of one of the Masters of the Middle and Lower School in that of boys in those Divisions 19 When finished these Impositions ace countersigned by the Master in charge and careful record of them is kept in book appointed for the purpose 20 The power of inflicting corporal punishment is strictly reserved by the Council to the Head Master to whom all serious offences such as habitual idleness falsehood insur- bordination or frequent detention in the case of boys in any part of the School are at once reported 21 boy thus reported is further liable to receive from the Head Master printed card stating the facts of his case which he is expected to take home to his Parent or Guardian for their counter-signature 22 The Card thus countersigned is to be returned on the following day to the Head Master that it may be duly filed and registered 23 The extreme penalty for misconduct or for any breach of Rules is removal from the School On behalf of boy so dismissed there will be no further claim against Ihe College
