316 EVENING CLASSES Subjects Commerce Geography or Law Mathematics One of the Modern Languages taught in the Evening Classes English included Group £10 given by Η Matheson Esq Subjects Commerce Arithmetic or Mechanics Political Economy One of the Modern Languages taught in the Evening Classes English included No Student can obtain any of these Special Prizes unless he gains an aggregate of marks equal to three-fourths of full marks in each of the subjects Competitors for any one of these Prizes must send their names and the subjects which they have attended to the Secretary on or before March 31 and after this date no name will be received Group Prizes given in connexion with the Gilbart Lectures The value of these depends upon the contributions made to the Fund by the different Banks but twelve Prizes are usually awarded as well as Certificates of Distinction and Merit to those gaining more than seventy-five and sixty marks respectively but not getting Prizes No Prizeman of former year can gain the same or lower Prize in subsequent year The place in the Prize-list not the value of the Prize is to be regarded
