MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 295 Registration of Testimonials All Certificates must be given on printed Schedule and signed by the respective Lecturers Students will be supplied with Schedules at the time of their first Registration in London at this Hall and in the Provincial Towns by the Registrars of the Medical Schools All Students are required personally to Register the several Tickets of Admission to Lectures and Medical Practice within the first fifteen days of the months of October and May Examination in Arts An Examination in Arts will be held at the Hall three times in the year viz on the last Friday and Saturday in the months of January April and September The subjects gf Examination will be announced in the Medical Journals three months before each Examination Candidates for this Exami- nation will be required to enter their names in book kept at the Beadle's Office not less than Week before the day of Examination together with Fee of One Guinea Professional Examinations Every Candidate intending to offer himself for Examination must give notice on or before the Monday previous to the day of Examination and must at the same time deposit all the required Testimonials with the Fee at the Office of the Beadle where attendance is given every day except Sunday from Ten to Four o'Clock Saturdays Ten to Two The Examination is divided into two parts and is conducted partly in writing and partly viva voce First Examination which may be passed after the Second Winter Session embraces the following subjects Physicians' Prescriptions and Pharmacy Anatomy and Physiology General and Practical Chemistry Botany and Materia Medica Second Examination at the termination of the Medical studies Principles and Practice of Medicine Pathology and Therapeutics Midwifery including the Diseases of Women and Children Forensic Medicine and Toxi- cology Testimonials required of Candidates for the First Examination Of having passed an Examination in Arts recognised by the Medical Council Of having completed the curriculum of study to the close of the Second Winter Session and of having attended three months' Practical Pharmacy Second or Pass Examination Of having completed four years' medical study including the period spent at the Hospital of being twenty-one years of age and of good moral conduct that in future all Pupils applying for their Certificate of Qualification to Practice shall be instructed and furnished with Certificates of Proficiency in Vaccination by gentlemen holding appointments in conformity with the Regulations of the Local Government Board Whitehall
