254 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT if required take case or cases chosen by the Physicians from patients in the house at the time of examination In-Patient Cliuical Clerks shall attend regularly at the hour appointed accompany the Physician during his visit and keep correct report of all the cases belonging to the Physician under whom they respectively serve In every medical case upon which post-mortem exami- nation is held the Clerk under whose care the patient has been shall immediately after the holding of such examination furnish an abstract of the case to the Pathological Registrar Patient Clinical Clerks for Physician-Accoucheur -There shall be six In-Patient Clinical Clerks for the Physician for Diseases of Women and Children and Physician-Accoucheur three of whom shall hold office for three months and the three others for the remaining three months They shall have served the office of Out-Patient Clerks for period of three months The viva voce examination shall be chiefly in tbe Anatomy of the Viscera and Morbid Anatomy the written examination in Materia Medica and Practice of Medicine with especial relation to the Diseases of Women and Children He shall as one of his duties under the direction of the Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant assist in the Maternity Department by attending midwifery cases Physician's Assistant -A student shall not be elected to this office at period later than six years from the time of his Ma- triculation in the Medical Department he shall be qualified at the date at which his duties commence by some diploma to practise Medicine and shall have served to the satisfaction of the Physicians the office of In-Patient Clinical Clerk for the full period of six months He shall previously to his appoint- ment produce certificate of moral character to the satis- faction of the Committee of Management He shall before entering upon office pay the sum of 30Λ for board during his six months' residence in the Hospital The viva voce examination shall be in Anatomy and Morbid Anatomy the written examination in Materia Medica Toxico- logy in the Practice of λledicineJ and in Midwifery
