232 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT gjelf Jtltfcal This Medal has been founded to perpetuate within the College the memory of the Rev Jelf late Prin- cipal and is awarded annually to the Candidate at the Senior Scholarship Examination who is second in order of merit banner 39rt £ This Prize has been founded to perpetuate the memory of the late Thomas Hawkes Tanner former distinguished Student and Assistant-Physician to the Hospital The Prize is of the value of 10Λ in books and is awarded annually to the Candidate who exhibits most proficiency in Diseases of Women and Children and Obstetrics The Examination will be held in July of each year and the following will be required from Candidates written examination on the Diseases of Women and Children practical examination on the same subject and on Obstetrics The best record of cases attended in the Out-door Mid- wifery Department to be written in the printed form of the Register of Obstetric cases published by the Obstetrical Society of London Jrtitnce £ ti ibttion given by the Clathworkers Company This Exhibition of £50 per annum for two years is open to all Students of this Department who had not at the end of the preceding Academical year attended more than one Winter and one Summer Session and who are not more than years of age on the day fixed for sending in names For rules and subjects see page 174
