medical department 223 the Medical Department after January 1st 1876 who have passed at least five Terms iu King's College School Students attending the Practical Physiology Class have to pay 11 Is each Course for the use of microscope but this fee will be returned to any Student who shall bring to tbe office Certificate of having furnished himself with micros- cope approved by the Professor The Principal requests each Student of this Department on beginning his Second Winter Session to contribute the sum of 11 Is towards the expenses of the restoration of the College Chapel The College Cap and Gown which are worn by all Ma- triculated Students may be purchased from Messrs Cox and Son 28 Southampton Street Strand VI University op London -Preliminary Scientific Examinations Besides the Course of Lectures comprised in the Medical Curriculum on Chemistry Practical Chemistry Botany and Comparative Anatomy and the Tutor's Class Special Courses of Lectures and Demonstrations on Mechanical and Natural Philosophy by Professor Adams Practical Zoology by Pro- fessor Garrod and Practical Botany by Professor Bentley are also given in order to complete the instruction required for the Preliminary Scientific Examination of the University of London All Students preparing for this Examination are strongly recommended as advised by the University of London to devote the previous Winter and Summer Sessions to study for that purpose VII Dental Surgery Course Students in Dental Surgery are divided into two Classes
