174 APPLIED SCIENCES VI JFreake auiJ oilier Isntrante ΈχΙ Άίϋοη One Exhibition of 20 will be given in October 1876 by Charles John Freake Esq to the Student who passes the best Examination on entering this Department at that time The subjects of Examination will be- Mathematics Arithmetic Algebra and Plane Trigonometry Euclid Geometrical Conies and the easier parts of Analytical Geometry Elementary Mechanics and Physics Inorganic Chemistry Two College Exhibitions of 15 each and two of 10 each tenable for one year will be given in October 1876 to the Students who next to the "Freake" Exhibitioner pass the best Examination on entering the College at that time Subjects of Examination- Arithmetic Algebra Plane Trigonometry Euclid The Examination will begin on Wednesday October at 10 These Exhibitions will be payable hi equal instalments in the case of the Freake Exhibitioner at the end of the Student's first six Terms and in the case of the College Exhibitioners at the end of each of the Students' first three Terms provided they produce to the Secretary at the end of each Term Certificate of good conduct and satisfactory progress signed respectively by the Principal and Dean Science iSxijfbition GIVEN BY ΤΠΕ WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF CLOTHWORKERS One Exhibition of £50 year for two years will be awarded each October
