GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE 127 XII Inglis Jcdjolarsljips founded 1857 by George Moncktok Esq of Somerford Hall Pihk- ridge and Others in Memory of the Right Honourable Sir Robert Harrt Inglis Baronet Regulations Two Scholarships are given every year of 50 each tenable for one Year if the Dividends on the sum invested amount to so much and if not then of such amount equally divided between the two Scholarships as the Dividends shall produce II One Scholarship is awarded for the highest profi- ciency in portion or portions of Modern History and the other Scholarship for the highest proficiency in the English Language and Literature of one or more periods III These Scholarships are open to all Matriculated Students of King's College not being Associates and not belonging to the Theological Department who shall have completed one Term and not exceeded nine Terms at the date of competition and to all Pupils who shall have been at least one year in the School Students of the Evening Class Department are subject to special conditions for which see Evening Class Department Section XII IV The examination is held in the Easter Term of each year The payments will commence in the October sue- ceeding the election and will be continued quarterly over one year provided that the Scholar has been three full Terms in King's College or School previous to the Term in which the Competition is held and after getting the Scholarship
