MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 211 Matriculated Students or those who receive their entire medical education at King's College Each Candidate for Matriculation must produce testi- monial of good moral character and when admitted by the Principal must subscribe his name to Declaration that he will conform to all such Rules and Regulations as may from time to time be made for the good government of the College under the sanction and authority of the Council Matriculated Students are expected to attend reguiarly the College Chapel and the Divinity Lectures by the Principal or Chaplain they must wear the Academical cap and gown within the precincts of the College except in the Dissecting Room and are required to attend with perfect regularity the Hospital Practice and the lectures of their year Leave of absence can be obtained from the Dean of the Medical Department alone to whom in case of sickness or other unavoidable cause of non-attendance written notice is to be immediately sent Matriculated Students enjoy the following advantages They are more completely under the supervision of the College authorities They pay Ten Guineas less for Hospital Practice They alone can compete for the Warneford Inglis Science and Medical Scholarships for the Sambrooke Registrarships and for the McCaul Leathes Warneford Todd Jelf Tanner and other Endowed Prizes They alone can compete for and hold the offices of- Physician's Assistant Physician Accoucheur's Assistant louse Surgeon Assistant House Physician Students who come to King's College from other Medical Schools and take the whole of their remaining education at King's College are also allowed to Matriculate They will not however be permitted to compete for the Scholar- ships or for the Warneford Leathes Jelf Todd Tanner and other Endowed Prizes or to hold Hospital Appointments unless they have paid the full amount of fees required for admission to the years' course at the Hospital
