7i APPLIED SCIENCES VI EXHIBITIONS Jjfreafee xtjibtn'on One Exhibition of 20 is given annually by Charles John Freake Esq to the Student who passes the best Examination on entering this Department in the Michaelmas Term The Exhibition given in October 1875 will be of the value of 40 The subjects of Examination are- Mathematics Arithmetic Algebra and Plane Trigonometry Euclid Geometrical Conies and the easier parts of Analytical Geometry Elementary Mechanics and Physics Inorganic Chemistry The next Examination will begin on Thursday Septem- ber 30 1875 The Exhibition is payable in equal instalments at the close of each of the Students' first three Terms extending in the case of the Exhibition of 1875 to six Terms provided he produces to the Secretary Certificate of good conduct and satisfactory progress signed respectively by the Principal and Dean eTolIcoe Sxfjibtttons Two Exhibitions of 30 and 21 will be given by the College in 1875 on conditions exactly similar to those laid down for Freake Exhibition to those who are placed Second and Third in the Examination Science Icxbibttions GIVEN BY THE WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF CLOTHWORKERS One Exhibition of Ā£25 year for two years will be awarded each October
