114 general literature and science Students in all competitions for Frizes will be considered as be- longing to the Second year There is an Examination every year for all Students at the end of the Michaelmas and Easter Terms At these Examina- tions the Students are classed according to their proficiency The Examination in July is followed by public Distribution of Prizes detailed Report is sent at the end of each term to the parents or guardians of each Student both as to his progress and as to his general attention and good conduct during the Term If Student be absent from the College without permission from the Principal or without notice being sent to the Secre- ta'ry letter is addressed to the parent or guardian notifying the fact The General Library is open daily to all Students for the purposes of study See Regulations page 4' 'fi limited number of Students are admitted to reside within the College see page 427 and some of the Professors as well as others connected with the College receive Students in their houses See page 430 Dinner is provided in the College Hall every day at Six o'clock for such Students as may wish to avail themselves of this accomodation See page 431 II Occasional Students or those who being unable to attend the whole course are desirous of studying anv par- ticular subject Every class is ope to them on payment of the specified amount of fees see Section VII Occasional Students are unable to compete for the ordinary prizes but may be recommended for special prize bv the Professor Any occasional Student will be allowed to attend the lectures on Religious Instruction by application to the Principal
