108 general literature and science Mathematics Pure and Applied For both Divisions Lectures daily Saturday excepted from 10 20 to 11 40 Vd 11 45 to The subjects of these Lectures are Euclid Algebra Plane and Spherical Trigonometry Conic Sections Algebraic Geo- metry the Differential and Integral Calculus Mechanics Hydrostatics and Newton's Principia Sect II III The Students of each year are divided into four Divisions according to their proficiency and in these Divisions they are arranged in order of merit at each Examination Prizes and Certificates -At the examination which takes place at the close of the Easter Term Prizes and Certi- ficates are given under the same rules as are laid down under the head of "Classical Literature English Language Literature and Composition Modern History For both Divisions The Lectures are given on Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 15 to and embrace English Literature Modern History and Composition At the examination in June Prize of Books and Certifi- cate of Honour are subject to the conditions contained in Rule for Prizes in Classical Literature given to the first and second Students respectively in the First Division of each of these subjects and Prize and Certificate of Approval to the first and second Students respectively in the Second Division No Scholar on the Inglis Foundation can during the same year obtain Prize in the same subject as that for which he gains the Scholarship
