328 EVENING CLASSES SMITH WORK Students are taught to make and temper Chisels Drills and Turning tools to weld Iron and Steel and to produce light forgings This shop is provided with two Forges and well-selected stock of Tools CASTING IN BRASS AND IRON The Foundry is furnished with Cupola two Brass Furnaces two Drying-stones and other suitable appointments for complete course ol instruction in Foundry work and for producing the lighter class of Castings The Classes are conducted by Mr David Walker Super- intendent of the College Workshop who has had fifteen years' practical experience as Foreman in the employ of Messrs Maudsley Sons and Field He is assisted by skilled workmen in each department The Classes will reopen on Thursday October 1st The hours of attendance are from 30 to 30 on Monday Wedn ל day and Friday evenir gs Fees £1 li per Month or £2 12s Cd per term of twelve weeks payable in advance in the College office Further information may be had from the Superintendent at the Workshop
