2SC EVENING CLASSES On Friday to Junior Class Dictation Parsing and the Analysis of Sentences to Senior Class History and Structure of the English Language LITERATURE Rev Scrymgour ays and Hours of Attendance-Tuesday and Friday from to or to or both hours on both nights by additional payment to -Class for Literary Composition Subjects will be given for short Essays which will be examined in the presence of the Student and hints given for the im- provement of his Composition to 9-Lectures on the English Subjects for the first Examination in the London University for 1875 The Winter Course will include the Pass Subjects the Honour Subjects being reserved for the Summer Course viz History of English Literature from the Restoration to the Death of William III Shakespeare Macbeth Milton Comus and Samson Agouistes Trench Study of Words The opening Lecture will be given on Tuesday Oct at on the Nature and Method of Literary Study Admission free Each Student is free to choose for himself as Course of English the two Lectures thatsupply him with theinforma- tion he most wants Arrangements may also be made for attendance on double Course or at third Lecture in each week Students attending two Courses of English mav compete for two of the English Prizes but as competitors for the prize for proficiency in five subjects they will be credited only with the marks earned in one English examination
