MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 239 Patients He shall make chemical and microscopical exami- nations and shall be responsible for all instruments and apparatus entrusted to bis care He shall attend in the Out- patient department at one o'clock daily and remain there until all the Out-Patients have been seen shall occupy separate desk and see such patients as are allotted to him by the Surgeon in attendance shall take charge of the instruments in the Out-Patient department and superintend the dressing and instruct the Out-Patient Dressers in tbeir duties He shall also see that the Surgery is kept in good order Candidates for this office must have filled the office of Dresser to Out-Patients and are not eligible for examination later than five years and half from the date of their Matricu- lation in the Medical Department Candidates may be admitted to examination for this office before obtaining their diplomas but will not be allowed to enter upon their duties before they shall be members of British College of Surgeons Such Assistant House Surgeons as shall have performed thei duties to the satisfaction of the Committee of Management and the Council during six months shall if otherwise eligible be considered as having cateris paribus claim to be elected to the office of House Surgeon Sambrooke Medical Registrar -The duties of this Officer are to prepare an abstract of all the Medical cases admitted into the Hospital The abstracts to be drawn up in systematic form on papers supplied for the purpose and the records to be kept at the Hospital Sambrooke Surgical Registrar -The duties of this Officer are in respect to the Surgical cases similar to those of the Medical Registrar Operations -The area of the theatre shall be reserved for the Medical Officers including those resident the In-Patient Dressers and such visitors as are specially introduced by the operating Surgeon The first row of the theatre shall be re- served for the remaining Dressers and the Clinical Clerks Midwifery -Pupils who have previously attended Course of Lectures are provided with large number of cases of Mid-
