232 medical department each meeting and Weekly Summary of it transmitted to the Dean of the Medical Department at King's College Those Clerks and Dressers who are certified hy the Dean of the Medical Department to be attending Lectures at King's College shall be in attendance in the wards not later than 10 15 on the days on which they attend such Lectures If vacancy should occur in the office of Physician's Assistant during the usual period of time for which it is held the Assistant House Physician shall succeed to the appoint- ment for the time of office still unexpired provided he pos- sesses the proper qualifications and complies with the conditions laid down in the Calendar relating to the Phy- sician's Assistant and that the Physicians of the Hospital severally certify that he is suitable officer for the appoint- ment The Assistant House Surgeon shall be promoted to the office of House Surgeon and the Assistant House Accoucheur to the office of Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant under similar circumstances and conditions If these conditions be not complied with the vacancies in the above appointments will be filled up by examination in the usual way Should vacancy occur in any office held by Student at the Hospital except that of Physician's Assistant House Surgeon or Physician-Accoucheur's Assistant it will be filled up for the unexpired term by examination in the usual way Out-Patient Clerks -There shall be eighteen Out-Patient Clerks four for the Physician with care of Out-Patients and four for each Assistant-Physician-except in the case of the Assistant-Physician for Diseases of Women and Children who shall have six three of whom will hold office for three months and the other three for the remaining three months They shall have diligently attended six months' Medical Prac- tice The examination shall be in tbe Anatomy of the viscera in Materia Medica and in the Practice of Medicine In the case of the Clerks to the Assistant-Physician for the Diseases of Women and Children the Practice of Medicine required shall have relation chiefly to these diseases The viva voce exami- nation shall be chiefly in Anatomy The Clerks shall attend
