MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 223 After these cases have been examined by the Physician or Surgeon they are to be certified by the Dean and may be published XI Tbe expense of all books and papers necessary to carry out the objects and intentions herein expressed is to be paid for out of the surplus income arising from the Endowment Fund after payment of the sum due to the two Registrars and in case there be at any time any surplus over 100 the same may be invested as convenient for increasing the Endowment Fund XII The appointment of Registrars is vested in the Council of King's College London Candidaies for these offices must send in their names ac- companied in the case of application for re-appointment by the Certificates named in Clause to tbe Secretary of the College before the 1st of November in each year and those elected Registrars must enter on their duties on the 1st of January following XVI College 0Iarsl ips GENERAL RULES Good conduct and regular attendance upon Lectures Examinations and Hospital Practice are indispensable for the admission of any Student to be Candidate for Scholar ship in this College and all Candidates must have complied with the General Rules laid down in the Calendar page 69 for the guidance of Matriculated Students Candidates for tbe Junior Scholarships are required to have obtained certificate of regular attendance on the Divinity lectures and of having passed one of the Terminal Examinations mentioned in Section Clause second certificate will be required for the Second year or Senior Scholarship
