MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 209 Department Special Ward has been appropriated to the reception of Children Practical Instruction in Dental Surgery is given three times week by tbe Dental Surgeon and the Assistant Dental Surgeon and Clinical Lectures on Dental Surgery are delivered in the Hospital during the Winter Session Clinical Instruction in Diseases of the Eye and Ophthal- moscopic Demonstrations are given in the Wards and in the Out-Patient Department of the Hospital by the Ophthalmic Surgeon Beds are specially appropriated to the reception of eye cases Clinical Lectures upon Ophthalmology are also given in the Theatre of the Hospital once week during the Winter Session Clinical Instruction in Diseases of tbe Throat and Laryngo- scopic Demonstrations are given every Wednesday at o'clock by Dr Johnson Skin Diseases -Clinical Instruction in these Diseases is given every Tuesday in the Out-Patient Department of the Hospital by Dr Duffin Demonstrations on Skin Diseases are also given by Dr Duffin every alternate Tuesday Morbid Anatomy -Demonstrations and Practical Instruction in Morbid Anatomy are given by the Physicians Surgeons and Pathological Registrar in the Post-mortem Theatre of the Hospital Vaccination -Arrangements have been made by which Students may have Practical Instruction and Certificates in Vaccination by the payment of small fee Medical Chemistry and the Microscope -Special Instruction is given in these subjects in the Wards of the Hospital and in the Theatre by the Physicians Resident Medical Officers Clinical Clerks and Dressers -The Physician's-Assistant House Surgeon and Physician-Ac- coucheur's Assistant the Assistant Officers Clinical Clerks and Dressers are all chosen by examination from those Matriculated Students who are pupils of the Hospital Stu- dents are thus constantly engaged in the practical work of the Hospital Registrars -A permanent record of every case received into Ο
