200 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT The attendance of each Student at Lectures is regularly marked At the close of each division of the Winter Ses- sion and at the close of the Summer Session the Lean prepares Report of the attendance general character and conduct of each Student which is forwarded to his Parent or Guardian after being submitted to and signed by the Prin- cipal copy of these reports is kept for future reference Students are requested to give in their Schedules to the Medical Librarian as soon as they can procure thero from the Hall and the College The Medical Library is open daily to all Students of this Department for the purposes of study seepage 196 they also have the use of the General Library see page 422 limited number of Students are admitted to reside within the College see page 423 and list of gentlemen autho- rized by the Council to receive Students as boarders into their houses will be found at page 426 There is Dining Hall in the College for the accommodation of Resident and other Students of the College see page 427 Boxes are provided in the Corridors of the College in which Students may keep their Caps and Gowns Books &c See page 428 Books and Stationery of all kinds may be obtained in the Secretary's office VII REGISTRATION PRELIMINARY ARTS EXAMINATION Every Medical Student is required to register the com- mencement of his professional studies at the Office of the General Medical Council and at one or more of the several Medical Examining Boards but no Student is allowed to register unless he produce Certificate of having passed preliminary Examination in Arts Amongst the Arts Exa-
