184 medical department Anatomy Descriptive and Surgical These Lectures comprise full Course of Descriptive and Surgical Anatomy and are illustrated by recent Dissections by Preparations from the Anatomical Museum and by large collection of Diagrams Practical Anatomy is taught in the Dissecting Rooms by the Demonstrators of Anatomy Attendance is given daily from ten to four o'clock The Anatomical Rooms are spacious light and well ven- tilated and contain every requisite and convenience for the acquisition of practical knowledge of Anatomy Every opportunity is taken of rendering the technical details of Anatomy useful to the Students by pointing out their bear- ings on Physiological Science as well as on the practice of their profession The operations of Surgery may be performed here on the dead body during the summer months Physiology In this Course of Lectures complete account is given of Human Physiology embracing Physiological Physics Phy- siological Chemistry and Physiological Anatomy or His- tology The Lectures are illustrated by Preparations Drawings Models and such experiments as are calculated to elucidate the functions of the Digestive Circulatory Respiratory Nervous and Muscular systems together with those of the Sense-organs During the Course all the tissues of the body are demon- strated with the aid of the microscope Practical Physiology The Course embraces Practical Histology In this sec- tion each Student prepares examines andpreservesforhimself specimens of nearly all the tissues of the body Practical Physiological Chemistry In this section each Student per- forms the Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of the Urine in its normal and abnormal conditions together with such
