160 APPLIED SCIENCES his art trade or business of an Engineer and Millwright and with him to serve after the manner of an apprentice from the day of the date hereof for the term of thence next following during which said term the said the said and his partners or partner for the time being faithfully shall serve his and their lawful commands every- where gladly do he shall do no damage to the said bis partners or partner nor see the same done by others but to his power shall forthwith tell or give warning of the same he shall not waste the goods of the said or his partners or partner nor lend them unlawfully to any with bis own goods or others during the said term without licence of the said he shall neither buy nor sell any articles of manufacture used in the trade art or business of an Engineer and Millwright during the said term he shall not absent himself from his employment during the agreed hours of work but in all things shall behave himself faithfully and diligently to the said and his partners or partner during the whole of the said term And the said in consideration of the sum of 525 paid to him by the said the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged doth covenant and undertake that he will to the best of his skill and ability teach and instruct or cause to be taught and instructed the said in the art trade or business of an Engineer and Millwright provided the said shall be obedient diligent and faithful during the aforesaid term But if the said shall misconduct himself or absent himself from his said employment without leave it shall be law ful for the said to cancel this Agreement pro- vided always and it is hereby agreed between the said parties hereto that in the case of the death of the said during the said term this Agreement shall be assigned over to the surviving partners or partner of the said for the remainder of the said term In witness whereof tbe said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written
