76 THEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT The Church Catechism with explanation The following books Cicero De Offlciis Book Virg Μη Xenophon's Anabasis Book Plato's Apology of Socrates Questions will be set in Latin and Greek Grammar English Composition The days fixed for this examination in the Academical Year 1873-74 are Tuesday September 30 Tuesday January 20 and Tuesday April 21 -Second Examination In the course or at the close of his first year each Student will be required to pass an examination in the following sub- jects Dogmatic Theology General History of the Articles Special Examination in some portion of the Articles lectured on Hooker Book Pearson on the Creed Art -III Greek Testament Tischendorf Part II the Acts and Catholic Epistles for translation with general questions on the subject date and authorship of each book Special examination in portions lectured on Old Testament Examination in lectures delivered about half of the Old Testament Ecclesiastical History Examination in periods lectured on Students presenting themselves between October 1873 and October 1874 will have the option of bringing up the old subjects viz -Cic de Nat Deorum Book Virg jEn II Xenophon Anabasis Book Homer's Iliad Book
