Μ ANNUAL REPORT earnestly hope that the liberality of the friends of the College will enable them to avail themselves of Mr Wigram's most generous offer Towards the £4 000 still required to reach the sum of £13 000 named by him the Council have already received subscription of about £700 from members of the Staff and other donations to the amount of about £200 Little more than £3 000 is required in order to secure this important object which will not only remove great anxiety from those who direct the affairs of the College but enable it to extend very materially its powers of usefulness The Council cannot but believe that the necessary support will not be wanting and that in their next Report they w'ill be able to announce complete success During the past year notice has been received of legacy of £500 from Joshua Lockwood Esq and the sum of £200 East Indian Railway Stock has been transferred to the College by the friends of Dr Tanner formerly Assistant Physician at King's College Hospital and distinguished Student 01 the College for the purpose of founding Prize to be called the Tanner Prize in the class of Obstetric Medicine The financial condition of the College so far satisfactory that the income of the past year has proved sufficient to meet the needful expenditure and still to provide the usual sum of £500 for the Sinking Fund The Council have since the last Court added the following names to the list of Honorary Fellows Christopher Heath Formerly Student now Surgeon to University College Hospital and Teacher of Operative Surgery in University College Porter Smith Formerly Student Founder and Physician of the Hankow Medical Mission Hospital Central China Evan Buchanan Baxter MD Formerly Student now Medical Tutor
