356 THE SCHOOL German The English subjects set for the Examinations English Grammar and Composition English History Physical Geography and Geology Construction of Maps Drawing- Geometrical and Freehand Light Heat Electricity and Magnetism Che- mistry Mathematics III -THE MIDDLE SCHOOL This Division is placed under the direction of ד Ϊ Master of the Middle and Rev Rust Lower School Brooksmith Rev Belcher Rev Proctor Assistant Masters Larcher Reginald Geare This Division is intended to prepare boys for both Departments of the Upper School Each Class is divided into two Sections learning Greek or German according as boy is preparing for the Classical or for the Modern Department The boys of this Division attend the Elementary Lec- tures on Natural Science they see the experiments per- formed and are required to write an account of each Lecture Bookkeeping is taught in this Division and special attention is paid to German French Writing and Arith- metic
