MEDICAL DEPARTMENT 213 Class For the Encouragement of the previous Education of Medical Students Two Scholarships are given at the commencement of each Winter Session of the value of £25 per annum each to be held for three years subject to the provisions hereafter stated and as often as the Council has accumulated the sum of £50 by means of lapsed and forfeited Scholarships or of interest on the Warneford King's College Scholarship" funds in their possession an additional Scholarship of £25 per annum for two years is given after due notice These Scholarships are open to ail Matriculated Students of the Medical Department who are also perpetual Pupils of the Hospital at the commencement of their first Winter Session The Examination for 1873 is in the following subjects Divinity The Latin and Greek Classics English Language and History Mathematics The Modern Languages -100 marks being assigned to each of the five subjects The following will be the subjects of examination after 1873 Compulsory subjects Divinity English Literature and History Marks assigned Latin 100 to each subject Mathematics Optional subjects Candidates will be allowed to select one subject out of Group and second out of group or Greek Group French ν German Chemistry Group Natural Philosophy Botany Any Candidate failing to obtain 50 marks in Divinity is thereby absolutely disqualified from further examination Marks assigned 75 C-- 1L subjects chosen
