EVENING CLASSES 289 MERCHANTS' PRIZES Prize of £10 given by Messrs James Duncan Co and another of £10 given by Messrs Matheson Co will be awarded at the close of the Winter Session 1872-73 to the Students in the follow ing groups who shall respectively obtain the highest number of marks viz First Group Commerce and Commercial Law Geography Mathematics Second Group Commerce and Commercial Law Political Economy Any one of the Modern Languages taught in the Evening Classes Candidates for either Prize must also write an Essay "011 the distinctive features of Modern Production the number of marks to be granted for the same being equal to the number granted for each of the subjects The Essay is not to exceed thirty pages of common letter size and must he given in to Professor Levi on or before February 28 1873 SPECIAL PRIZE IN COMMERCE Prize of £5 left hy the late John Laing Esq will be awarded to the Student who obtains the highest number of marks in this Class and who also writes the best Essay on the distinctive features of Modern Production not to exceed thirty pages of common letter size to be given in to Professor Levi before Feb 28 1S73 The successful competitor for these Special Prizes will have the option of receiving the Prize wholly in books or half in books and half in cash τ
