THEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT 87 XIII M'CAUL HEBREW AND OLD TESTAMENT PRIZE The Friends and former Pupils of the late Reverend Alexander McCaul having presented to the College the sum of 250 for the purpose of founding Prize which should bear his name this sum has been invested in London and North Western Railway per cent Preference Stock and the annual interest less expenses will be given in Books to the Theological Students who shall pass the best examination in Hebrew and the Old Testament at the Midsummer and Christmas Examinations respectively Candidates must take up "Perowne on the Psalms Introduction and Book as an extra subject Names of Prizemen 1864 Hammond Joseph ן Wensley Edward Barnettj 1805 West William 1866 Moon Charles 1867 Flecker Eliezer 180S Rusz William David 1869 Watkins Henry William 1870 Smith Wharton Buchanan 1871 Ac Annual Prize of five pounds is given by Leitner Ph one of the Honorary Fellows of the College "in memory of the scholarship and philanthropic labours of the late Leitner Esq for an "Essay on Messianic Prophecies The Prize is open to the Hebrew Class only The Essays are to be sent in on the first day of the Lent term 1872 to the Secretary xiv LEITNER PRIZE Names of Prizemen 1871 Kroenig Joshua Charles Solomon
