74 THEOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT General Scripture History The Church Catechism with explanation The following books Cicero De Natura Deorum Book Virg JEn II Xenophon's Anabasis Book Homer's Iliad Book Questions will be set in Latin and Greek Grammar English Composition The days fixed for this examination in the Academical Year 1871-72 are Tuesday Oct Tuesday January 16 and Tuesday April 16 Second Examination In the course or at the close of his first year each Student will be required to pass an examination in the following sub- jects Dogmatic Theology General History of the Articles Special Examination in some portion of the Articles lectured on Hooker Book Pearson on the Creed Art -III Greek Testament Tischendorf Part II the Acts and Catholic Epistles for translation with general questions on the subject date and authorship of each book Special examination in portions lectured on Old Testament Examination in lectures delivered about half of the Old Testament
