CHAPEL RESTORATION FUND From the Council The Lord Bishop of London Chairman The Earl of Harrowby Bight Rev Bishop Sumner The Rt Hon Glad- tone The Rev Jelf COMMITTEE From the College Staff The Rev Barry Professor Be&le Cunningham Esq 8ir Fergusson Bart Professor Johnson Rev Ε Plumptre From Old Students Dr Arlidge George Austen Esq- Bolton Esq Ε Bowen Esq William Bowman Esq Rev Farrar Dr Frere Rev Lance- Dr Lavlee Henry Lee Esq Mackay Esq Rev Cowley Powles Sturgea Esq Rev Henry White Rev Wood HONORARY SECRETARIES Rev Ε Plumptre Cunningham Esq 1871 It has been ascertained that the expense of finishing the Chapel in accordance with Mr Scott's original designs and of completing the Organ satisfactorily will be £2 000 The Committee are very anxious to put the finishing stroke to their work which even in its present very incomplete state has more than realized their hopes and expectations and which only needs completion to present one of the most satisfactory and striking interiors in London The parts ot the work which are most urgently needed are the decoration of the Apse and general colouring the completion of the Organ and the erection of stalls at the west end for the Principal the Head Master and the Professors The esti- mate for these amounts to about £1 000 The Committee earnestly desire also to be able to clear off the present debt about £325 With these objects in view they venture once more to appeal to the liberality of the members and friends of the College especially of those who have not yet contributed to the Chapel Improvement fund Ε
