THE SCHOOL 303 The Examination will take place at the end of the Lent Term The subjects for Examination will be announced at the be ir1ning 01'each Lent Term II jforest jfounliation Founded in 1861 by Robert Forest Esq late of Montague Place Clapham Road who by his Will bequeathed after the decease of his Wife the sum of £3 000 Consols duty paid to the Governors and Proprietors of King's College London "as fund for the specific purpose of providing Scholarships "for meritorious pupils educated at tbe School known as King's College School in connexion with the said College REGULATIONS One Scholarship will be given each year of £30 tenable for three years for proficiency in Classics and Divinity These Scholarships are open to all Pupils who having been four complete Terms in the School were not eighteen years of age on the 1st January preceding the election These Scholarships are only payable on condition of the Scholar entering either one of the Departments of King's College London or at the University of Oxford or Cambridge within one year of terminating his studies in the School and during the time not exceeding three years that he con- tinues his studies at such College or University These Scholarships are tenable with any other Scholar- ship gained in the College or School Candidates will be examined at the close of the Lent Term in their regular Classical School work including Divinity and in passages from the Greek and Latin Classics Scholars elected on this Foundation are by the Will of the Founder to be called "Forest Scholars
