THE SCHOOL 347 III -THE LOWER SCHOOL This Division is placed under Rev George Rust Master of the Lower School Rev Blomfield Jackson Brooksmith Rev Belcher Reynell The Division includes all boys below the Removes and is intended to give thorough and complete course of education up to such point as will prepare the pupils to enter with advantage either of the two senior Divisions While Latin and French are commenced in this Division special pains are taken that the pupils are carefully trained in English Reading Dictation and Composition Writing is matter of special attention and the Arithmetic is taught in several progressive Classes of moderate numbers each Class being under the care of separate Master Drawing forms part of the regular Course in this Division certain proportion of the pupils in this Division are also allowed to attend the Lectures in Natural Science Boys who are intended to enter the Classical Division commence Greek in the Third Class and those for the Modern Division commence German Assistant Masters
