EVENING CLASSES 285 Admiralty Court and its jurisdiction on Shipping Court of Bankruptcy books recommended Levi's International Mercantile Law Stevens Co Chancery Lane Levi's Manual of Mercantile Law Smith Elder Co merchants' prizes -on commerce Prize of £10 given by Messrs James Duncan Co and another of £10 given by Messrs Matheson Co will be awarded at the close of the Winter Session 1871-72 to the Students in the following groups who shall respectively obtain the highest number of marks viz Firs Group Commerce and Commercial Law Geography Mathematics Second Group Commerce and Commercial Law Political Economy Any one of the Modern Languages taught in the Evening Classes The Student in either group must also write an Essay "On the proper application of the principle of Laissez-faire in matters of Commercial and Banking Legislation the num- ber of marks to be granted for the same being equal to the number granted for each of the subjects The Essay is not to exceed thirty pages in common letter size and to be given in to Professor Levi on or before February 29th 1872 17 DRAWING Days and Hour of Attendance-Tuesday and Friday from to Instruction is given on the following subjects General Drawing -Linear Geometry and Perspective- Freehand Outline and Shading from Copies-From solid Objects -Model Drawing and Shading-Drawing the Human
