Jo GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE French Literature and Language- Alphonse Mariette Professor Leoxce Stievenard Lecturer German Literature and Language- Buciiheim Ph Professor Herr Wehe Acting Lecturer Freehand Drawing- William Joseph Glenny Professor Latin -Students of this Division must also attend Two Latin Classes in each week unless tbey have passed on entrance an Elementary Examination in this subject to the satisfaction of the Principal Students attending Latin will not attend the German Class Dean of the Department for 1870 Rev Professor Drew III SYLLABUS OF LECTURES Religious Instruction Lectures are delivered every Wednesday Afternoon and Saturday Morning during the Academical Year There are terminal examinations in the subjects treated of in the Lectures and periodical examinations on Text-books chosen by the Principal These Text-books for the next Academical Year will be Trench on the Parables and Westcott'8 Bible in the Churcb Marks are given to the papers at these examinations according to merit and the Students are classed at the close of the Michaelmas and Easter Terms On the last day of the Academical Year prizes are adjudged to the best Students in the various years
