58 ANNUAL REPORT cannot but believe that their call will be met and they ven- ture earnestly to commend it to the attention and support of the Proprietors of the College The Council are convinced that the only serious difficulty in the way of the College is the financial one and they have confidence that if this be removed the College based as it is on sound principles and guided by teachers of acknowledged ability and devoted to the work will under the blessing ot God continue to do good service in the cause of sound and religious education
