5G ANNUAL REPORT been of special service to the School supplying deficiency which has long been felt In concluding this portion of the Report the Council advert with much satisfaction to the Reports which they have re- ceived both from the Principal and the Head Master of the excellent conduct industry and order of the Students of the College and the boys of the School generally during the past year Since the last General Court the following names have been added to the list of Honorary Fellows Rev Richard William Jelf for twenty-four years President of this College Rev Thomas Qrangek Hall for thirty-nine years Professor of Mathematics Rev Richard Frederick Lefevre Blunt formerly Theological Student and now Vicar of Scarborough II -Having now finished their Report on the regular work of the College the Council have to request the attention of the Court to some subjects of special importance They have to announce first an important and they trust beneficial change in the working arrangements of the College During the past year at the request of the Principal and the Educational Staff the Council have thought fit to organize more completely the Boards of the various Departments mainly on the principle long adopted in regard to the Medical Board and to recognise for purposes of general interest the creation of General Board presided over by the Principal and composed of Delegates from each Depart- ment of the College and from the School Each Board selects annually Dean to be elected by the Council and to be the general organ of communication from the Board The Council believe that this step will lead to the more perfect working of the College to the greater mutual know- ledge of the staff of the various Departments and to complete harmony between the governing and teaching bodies
