Axnttal Eepoet presented to the Coubt of Govebnoes on Friday May 13th 1870 The Lord Bishop of Ely in the Chair The Council of King's College London have the honour to present to the Court of Proprietors their Thirty-ninth Annual Report first referring to the regular work of the College during the past year and next submitting some special considerations of great importance to its welfare -Tbe number of those who attended the Classes in the Lent Term of 1870 was as follows no name of Student or Pupil being reckoned more than once Matriculated Students Theological Department and Class Department of General Literature and Science of Candidates Department of Applied Sciences Medical Department 66 138 93 Evening Classes Department 395 Occasional Students Evening Classes Other Departments 468 54 The School 522 385 Total 1302 It will be observed that the aggregate numbers of Matricu- lated Students Occasional Students and boys of the School have all slightly advanced
