374 THE SCHOOL And ii in the following Classes of the Lower School Upper Second Lower Second Upper First No boy can obtain the same Mathematical Prize twice in the same Academical Year No boy can compete for the same Prize which he has gained before No boy can compete for lower Prize if he has already competed for higher one in any previous Term The Examiner can withhold the Prize from any Division if no boy in that Division should exhibit satisfactory know- ledge of his subjects and such Prize may be awarded to any meritorious boy in another Division IV PRIZES IN MODERN LANGUAGES IN FRENCH Seven Prizes are awarded every Term for proficiency in French one to the best boy in the First Class of each French division IN GERMAN Five Prizes are awarded each Term for proficiency in German one to the best Scholar in the Classical Division of the School and four to the Modern Division viz One to the best scholar in the Upper and Lower Sixth Classes taken together One to the Upper Fifth and Lower Fifth' Classes taken together One to the Upper and Lower Fourth taken together One to the Upper and Lower Remove taken together
