260 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT Of having attended at School or Schools recognised by this College not less than one of each of the following Courses of Lectures delivered by Lecturers recognised by this College namely-Anatomy Physiology Surgery Medicine Chemistry and Materia Medica Of having attended second Winter Course of Lectures on Anatomy or course of not less than twenty Lectures on the Anatomy of the Head and Neck delivered by Lecturers recognised by this College Of having performed Dissections at recognised School during not less than nine months Of having completed course of Chemical Manipulation under the superintendence of Teacher or Lecturer recognised by this College Of having attended at recognised Hospital or Hospitals in the United Kingdom the Practice of Surgery and Clinical Lectures on Surgery during two Winter Sessions Of having attended at recognised School two Courses of Lectures upon each of the following subjects viz -Dental Anatomy and Physiology Human and Comparative Dental Surgery Dental Mechanics and one Course of Lectures on Metallurgy by Lecturers recognised by this College Of having been engaged during period of not less than three years in acquiring practical familiarity with the details of Mechanical Dentistry under the instruction of competent Practitioner 10 Of having attended at recognised Dental Hospital or in the Dental department of recognised general Hospital the Practice of Dental Surgery during two Winter and two Summer Sessions The Students of the London Schools are required to register the above Certificates at this College and special Returns will be required from the Pro- vincial Schools recognised by the Council of this College Candidate whose qualifications shall be found insufficient will be referred back to his studies and will not be admitted to re-examination within the period of six months unless the Board shall otherwise determine SOCIETY OE APOTHECARIES Every Candidate for Certificate of Qualification to practise as an Apothecary will be required to produce Testimonials- Of having passed preliminary examination in Arts as test of general education Certificates in Arts granted by any of the bodies recognised by the Medical Council will be accepted This examina- tion must be passed before the commencement of Professional Studies which is defined by the Medical Council "to be the time of com- mencing studies at Medical School Of having served an Apprenticeship or Pupilage of not less than five years to Practitioner qualified by the Act of 1815 This period may include the time spent in attending Lectures and Hospital Practice
