204 MEDICAL DEPARTMENT III No Associate can be elected Scholar or compete for Prizes or Certificates in the Department in which he gained his Associateship XII ENDOWMENTS י05 811 1ו ψή ΐ iEn&ofomcnt The interest of 300 bequeathed by the late Leathes Esq is expended annually in the purchase of large Bible and large Prayer-Book which are given to the two Medical Students who are found most worthy of the same for their pro- ficiency in religious knowledge and for general good conduct All Matriculated Students of this Department may be Can- didates for these Prizes Candidates must produce Certificates of regular attendance at the College Chapel as well as Cer- tificates of having passed Two of the Terminal examinations mentioned in Section Clause The next Examination will take place on Wednesday October 1870 in the following subjects Old Testament -The book of Isaiah with the history corresponding to its period New Testament -The Gospels according to St Matthew and St Mark Prayer-Book -Its history and general structure The following will be the subjects for this Examination in 1S71 Old Testament -The Book of Psalms its general nature and substance with special examination in Psalms -XLI Perowne's Introduction is recommended New Testament The Acts of the Apostles and the Epistles to the Thessalonians Prayer-Book -Its history and general structure The names of all Candidates must be sent in writing to the Dean of the Medical Department before two o'clock on Saturday October 1870 and after this hour no name will be received
