medical department 177 II SYLLABUS OF LECTURES Religious Instruction Lectures are delivered every Friday Morning during the Winter Session These are so arranged as to embrace the following subjects during the Three Years' Course of each Medical Student The Old Testament II The New Testament III The Book of Common Prayer All Matriculated Students of the First and Second Years are required to attend these Lectures There are Examinations in the months of December and March on the subjects of these Lectures and an Examination in July on some Text-book selected by the Principal Certificates of proficiency are given to those who pass these Examinations satisfactorily and at the close of the Winter Ses- sion Prize is adjudged to the best Student of each year There are Lectures weekly by the Principal for Students of the Third and Fourth Years on some Theolo- gical subject The attendance at these Lectures is entirely voluntary and the times and subjects will be selected after conference with the Class Anatomy Descriptive and Surgical These Lectures comprise full course of Descriptive and Surgical Anatomy and are illustrated by recent Dissections by Preparations from the Anatomical Museum and by large collection of Diagrams Practical Anatomy is taught in the Dissecting Rooms by the Demonstrators of Anatomy Attendance is given daily from ten to four o'clock The Anatomical Rooms are spacious light and well ven- tilated and contain every requisite and convenience for the Μ
