APPLIED SCIENCES 163 passed two years previously in King's College School and who had spent at least one Term in the highest class of either Division before leaving it In either of these cases however the Candidate for the Associateship must pay the fees for The Arts of Construction Practical Chemistry 0r 0ne year' Photography for one Course in addition to the regular fees for six Terms II Must produce Certificate of proficiency in study as evinced by either Special Certificate of Honour Two Prizes One Prize and three Certificates of Approval Such Professional distinction after leaving King's Col- lege as shall be deemed sufficient by the Principals and Professors III Must also obtain Certificate of competent know- ledge in at least four of the subjects taught by lectures in this Department of which Mathematics shall be one He must also produce Certificate of regular attendance at the Divinity lectures B&aba" uyt ο ϋ α π& ι Ί ο 38 IV Candidates for this distinction must apply in writing to the Dean of the Department not later than the 1st of June in each year stating the claims and qualifications which they then possess An Associate cannot be elected Scholar or obtain Prize in the Department in which he gained his Asso- ciateship For the privileges of an Associate see page 420 but an Associate of this Department is not free to attend the Laboratories or the Workshop without payment of the usual fees
