91 GENERAL LITERATURE AND SCIENCE II Students entering the College after June 1869 will have the right to attend both the French and German Classes and are required to do so unless they obtain exemption from the Principal III Tbe following rule applies to Students who have entered before June 1869 viz Students of the First Year those who have not kept three Terms are required to attend the Lectures 01' the Professor of French Students of the Second Year those who have kept three but not six Terms are required to attend the Lectures of the Professor of German Students who have kept six Terms are required to attend either French or German at the option of their Parents or Guardians In case of any Student being desirous from any cause to attend French instead of German or German instead of French out of the regular course this privilege will be granted on application to the Principal but an additional fee of per Term or 21 12s 6d for the Year must be paid if it is wished to attend both languages in the same Term IV At the examination in June Prize of Books and Certificate of Honour are if merited given to tbe first and second Students respectively in the First Division of each of these subjects and Prize and Certificate of Approval to the first and second Students respectively in the Second Division The Professor of German gives each year Prize caUed The Professor's Prize for industrious and regular work to that Student who has most distinguished himself in German during the Academical Year by steady work and attention VT Fee to Occasional Students 21 2s per term or per annum each subject
