58 subjoined subscription list shows what success has hitherto attended their labours Having secured the services of Mr George Gilbert Scot they have already proceeded with the following portions of the work In the summer of 1861 they erected an Apse and inserted new windows II In August 1863 they gave orders for proceeding with the remaining alterations of the structure including new Koof and the Clerestory III In March 18G4 arrangements were made for putting in the Clerestory windows for finishing the Walls and the Apse for re-seating in oak the whole Chapel except the stalls at the west end for the Principal the Head-Master &c and for throwing out an Apse at the west end as site for the Organ In addition to the General Fund collected by the Com- mittee donations were kindly given for defraying the cost of the stained glass windows viz NTorrt 1I Timothy By Rev Major St James and St John William Bowman Esq St Matthew and St Luke Sambrooke Esq Edward Wigram Esq St Mark and St Peter in honour of Rev Jelf apse Our Lord sitting amongst Λ ן £ of jwis the Doctors ן Our Lord in the Carpen- Rev Cock ter Shop Our Lord bearing the Cross Cunningham Esq Beginning from the east end Beginning from the north side λ Marble columns given by Messrs Jackson and Shaw
