358 THE SCHOOL any Student or Pupil to be candidate for Scholarship in this College II Every Scholarship is held subject to the conditions laid down in Clause and subject to forfeiture for mis- conduct III In case there should be no candidate of sufficient merit in any year the Scholarship of that year will not be awarded IV Any Scholar desirous of obtaining Certificate of having gained Scholarship may obtain the same from the Secretary on payment of the fee prescribed by the Council The payments for all Scholarships are made quarterly and the amount due may be applied for in the Secretary's office any day succeeding the second Friday in the months of January April July and October Inglis tfiolarsfitps These Scholarships are open to Pupils of the School See page 104 Jfowst &t&01arsi ips Founded in 1861 by Robert Forest Esq late of Montague Place Clapham Road who by his Will bequeathed after the decease of his Wife the sum of £3 000 Consols duty paid to the Governors and Proprietors of King's College London "as fund for the specific purpose of providing Scholarships "for meritorious pupils educated at the School known as King's College School in connexion with the said College REGULATIONS One Scholarship will be given each year of £30 tenable for three years for proficiency in Classics and Divinity
