EVENING CLASSES 315 Section XL NAMES OF THOSE TO WHOM PRIZES AND CERTIFICATES OF MERIT WERE AWARDED WINTER SESSION 1868-9 THE RIGHT HONOURABLE THE LORD MAYOR in the Chair May 27 18 19 Prizes are given to the Student who stands first in the examination for each subject provided he has gained at least three-fourths of the full number of marks Certificates of Merit are given to all Students who gain in the examination for each subject at least three-fifths of the full number of marks Those marked have received Prizes in the same subject before and are there- fore not eligible for the same distinction this year They receive however Certificates of Honour for the Swfe istament Proctor Francis Bartlett Deverell Frederick Harold Scatliffe John Milton Elborough Pinker George Compigne Charles Rudkin Massing Blinkhorn Edward Mace Thomas James Prize
